Mercury is located low in the western sky after sunset, but on the 18th it reaches its maximum eastern elongation. For several days before and after this, the elevation of Mercury after sunset is its highest for this year, making it easy to observe during this time. From the 10th to the 26th, Mercury’s elevation at 30 minutes after sunset is greater than 10 degrees. During this time, its brightness is -0.8 magnitude to 1.6 magnitude. At the end of April, Mercury’s elevation gradually decreases. Its apparent position approaches the Sun, making it difficult to observe.
