Notice of closing of the observatory store (The University of Tokyo Co-op)
The NAOJ cafeteria and store, operated by the University of Tokyo Co-op, open on weekdays.
The shop offers an assortment of NAOJ-related merchandise, miscellaneous goods, stationery, drinks, and snacks.
For Visitors
We ask for your understanding and co-operation as we work to provide a comfortable eating environment and to reduce food loss and waste.
To Alleviate Congestion
- The cafeteria may be congested with staff and students during lunch hour. To alleviate the congestion, we kindly ask general visitors to use the cafeteria after 12:30 p.m.
To Reduce Food Loss and Waste
If you are planning to eat in the cafeteria with a group of 10 people or more:
- Please call the University of Tokyo Co-op Observatory Branch and make a reservation. However, depending on availability, it may not be possible to accept the reservation.
- If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the University of Tokyo Co-op Observatory Branch at least three business days prior to the reservation date.
