NAOJ staff member tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19)

It was confirmed on August 13, that one of our staff members at NAOJ Mitaka Campus had been infected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). According to the public health center, it was confirmed that no one in the campus made close contact with the infected person.

In order to protect the infected person’s privacy, NAOJ will not disclose the person’s name or details. We appreciate your understanding.

In addition, there will be no effect on campus tours currently conducted in outdoor areas of Mitaka Campus.
