Dr. Yoshihide Kozai, Honorary Professor of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan and also the founding Director General of NAOJ from 1988 to 1994, passed away due to liver failure at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018, at age 89.
