Dawn Striking the Subaru Telescope and the Shadow of Mauna Kea in the Sky

The Subaru Telescope welcomes the morning after completing observations peacefully, but there is little time to relax. In the cold air, Mauna Kea’s beautiful dawn greets observers as they are released from the pressure of being unable to waste even a moment of valuable observation time. Here, Mauna Kea’s shadow creates a unique ambience. Observers depart the summit while viewing this silhouette projected on the sky.
