Star Party Programs

Firstly, please register for the program at the reception where is located on the front entrance lobby. The reception opens from 19:30 to 20:30 in summer (April to September), and from 18:30 to 19:30 in winter (October to March). Admission free and reservation is not required. (*Advanced booking is necessary for groups of 20 or more.)

Telescope dome and SkyAt the reception, please fill out the number of people in your group, the number of attendance at the Star Party Programs, and the name of your city.Then you receive numbered tickets and brief resumes about "the object of the day".While waiting, there are some DVDs and posters to enjoy in the lobby.

After the reception, there is a brief lecture about the object by the students researching astronomy.It takes about 15 minutes. Please attend the lecture indicated on the numbered tickets.(*Numbered tickets are not provided in the case of few participants.)

The case of fine days

50cmTelescopeAfter the lecture, guides lead participants to the 50cm telescope.This 50cm telescope for social education introduces you to the outer space -- such as craters on the Moon, the ring of the Saturn, and star clusters and nebulae in the Galaxy and other seasonal objects.

Beside the 50cm telescope, there are portable 8cm telescopes and binoculars to observe other recommended celestial objects.

The case of cloudy and rainy days

Telescope dome and SkyInstead of observation, more specific lecture and enhanced exhibit spaces are waiting for you.Paper-craft, for example, is popular especially among children.Also, staff offer a commentary with four-dimensional digital universe viewer named "mitaka"
